@Rycaut I use mine for a bunch of small things. None of them are killer apps (like, say, maps was on the first iPhone), but in the aggregate I would be annoyed to lose them all:
- Sleep tracking.
- Activity tracking (e.g. when jogging)
- Haptic feedback when receiving texts (useful in loud environments where I can’t hear my phone)
- Stopwatch and timer on my wrist.
- Weather/temperature at a glance. (Also sunrise/sunset.)
- Upcoming calendar events at a glance.
As for bands, I am a big fan of the Milanese loop. I alternate between than an adjustable magnetic leather band. The loop is great because it is very finely adjustable. It always takes a bit of getting used to when I switch to it because I am also a bit furry, but not too bad. My skin is not sensitive, tho, so can’t help there.
Definitely worth going to an Apple Store to try on bands and different watches (stainless steel is heavier) if you have one available.
