I see a video on YouTube titled “Famous people in history who were ACTUALLY gay”. It’s from a creator I esteem, he’s a historian, not just a passing idiot; and I get the feeling that the video is to clarify some misconceptions (like “Ah, many believed that Famous Person 1 was gay, but they were not — Famous Person 2 was actually gay, etc.).
Still, I wonder: does it matter? Does it change anything? Not for me.
