@[email protected] Ahh yeah how I did I not think that first lol. But indeed the shit talking of immigrants and equating them to "colonizers" is getting annoying too. Even more annoying when it's fucking white people (whose ancestors were technically immigrants and were more colonial) saying it with a straight face. Like wow, maybe try cleaning up your shit first before lecturing us on what colonialism is? :parsee_angy:

Literally installed moshidon on my new phone just for this.@[email protected] Oh, like the "Palestine is Arab" shit? Yeah it sounds very right-wing lol. Like imagine saying "America is white" or "Britain is white"
How are they not seeing themselves in the mirror -
Literally installed moshidon on my new phone just for this.@[email protected] The Labor Zionist era of Israel is an interesting topic too. I feel like it would be great if some alt-history guy would explore a scenario where the USSR supported the Israelis (or at least still tried to balance relations) instead of being opportunistic and supporting the Arab states instead. It's not even very far-fetched; there was a time when the US supported the Arab states more (I think that was during Eisenhower) and the Soviets were more balancing in its diplomatic relations in the Middle East. This aspect is criminally underexplored.
It was never the US alone to blame for the shitshow right now -
Literally installed moshidon on my new phone just for this.why hello, mr antisemitism buster.
oh god i don't wanna be known just by that, i'm supposed to be an evil spirit :mima_sweat_smile:
Cute catto btw :holding_chen:
And yeah while we're talking about the British, weren't there Zionist factions who like bombed British infrastructure in the mandate? I found it funny that so-called "anti-Zionists" would point at that anti-Western terrorist act as being "proof" that Zionism is terrorism while believing at the same time that the Israeli state is a Western colonial project. Like which is it really? This is just plain doublethink -
Literally installed moshidon on my new phone just for this.@[email protected] Is talking about the militarism of a country bad at all? Of course not. Should we shame those who until now have not known about the extent of militarism? No, because we've all been like that at one point. What we shouldn't do is virtue signal about how this country's militarism is "exceptionally bad" and that it is the only militarism deserving to be talked about right now. Not everything is about "Western imperialism" or "white supremacy" or shit. If there's anything we should take from here, it's that we should be more skeptical of states more than ever.

Literally installed moshidon on my new phone just for this.@[email protected] I wonder if the people who talk a lot about "Israeli militarism" also talk a lot about "(North/South) Korean militarism". Or "Singaporean militarism". Or "Burmese militarism". Or "Filipino militarism" (and I know a lot about this one, imagine if a small portion of the time being spent watching the Israeli air force bombing Gaza could be spent too for our Philippine Air Force bombing Lumad schools and communities. We're not even asking much)
It always seems like whenever one can shit talk a Jew these people somehow finds all the free time to talk about "militarism" -
Reminder that there are currently several issues with the federated #reporting system, including that #Mastodon #instances don't parse #Misskey #reports properly, and that #Akkoma instances aren't getting reports from #Sharkey at all. Developers are w...@[email protected] Also I'm curious, do Mastodon moderators get notifications whenever a report is received? Because here in Misskey I have to always open the Control Panel manually regularly to check if I got one...

Good thing I have a Mastodon alt specifically for reporting whenever I need it. :cirno_fumo_yes: Misskey's reporting system kinda sucks anyway when it comes to forwarding reports as a moderator/admin (I have to report, then go to my Control Panel => Reports, and then not forget to toggle the switch for forwarding the report before marking it as "resolved"), though I do wish other fediverse software also had the option to only allow moderators to forward reports instead of letting all users forward, since Misskey does the former

Yet another new #ActivityPub implementation harassed out of the #fediverse because of privacy-freaks mistaking an AP first-class citizen for a "scraper".Yet another new #ActivityPub implementation harassed out of the #fediverse because of privacy-freaks mistaking an AP first-class citizen for a "scraper". I guess fedi has not learned from the #ContentNation incident at all. Or maybe they don't really care, because it's not the "normal social media way", whatever the fuck that means. :ablobcateyeroll:
If these privacy-freaks are really serious about their "opt-in" they would've already suspended all instances of #Misskey, #Sharkey, and every other -key fork (I think #Iceshrimp, #Catodon, and #Firefish still has it but please correct me if I'm wrong) that has the "proxy account" feature (you can see this with @[email protected] for example). Because it is fundamentally the same damn thing as #Awakari's AP implementation does. They're both a kind of #followbot which will only follow you if someone from that instance or service needs a feed of your posts and nobody else has requested for a feed before.
But they won't suspend them because they're "mainstream" and "do it the normal social media way". Because of course, the fediverse is all about social media and microblogs, and if I don't understand how this new implementation works it must be dangerous! And Russian!!
Don't like follow bots? Fine, block them, announce if you feel like it and if nobody else who you can boost has done it yet. But don't mislead #fediadmins by saying it is a "scraper" and it "violates the GDPR" and all kinds of psuedolegal bullshit. You're just showing your ignorance. And don't be a fucking cop by reporting them to their ISP because that just makes you an asshole. :reimu_sigh:
