It's good.
It's not as good as Andor or Mandalorian S1, but it's better than everything else. Better than Ahsoka, Boba Fett, Kenobi, better than the sequels and the prequels. But not quite as good as the originals or Rogue one.
I'd put it on par with Solo: it drops a few balls, there's a few unnecessary bits of dialogue, takes a bit to get up to speed, there's a few scenes that don't really work, but on the whole, it's pretty good. No characters suck, most are good, a few are excellent. The story is exciting and seems to be going somewhere, and will probably tie subtly into things that happen later, without beating you over the head with it. Claims of it "breaking canon" are exaggerated. At least compared to the many other times Star Wars broke canon.
