      @teh_g said in Help me out with installing nodeBB on Digital Ocean:

      @maxpen I'd just follow the instructions for your OS in the NodeBB docs: https://docs.nodebb.org/

      There isn't going to be a difference between Ubuntu and Ubuntu hosted on DigitalOcean.

      I've followed that guide several times as well: https://docs.nodebb.org/installing/os/ubuntu/

      I'll try it again rn.

      Wow lol I'm now finally past that issue. Its doing the final step of the install.

      Running NodeBB - NodeBB Documentation

      ok but the issue is this... I'm on Windows. Using the bash integrated shell. I got nodebb running on another drive then windows self.

      I use wamp server and its in the WWW folder in a nodebb folder...

      J:\wamp64\www\NodeBB

      how am I supposed to define the path when the linux kernel is hosted here=

      C:\Users\gamer\AppData\Local\Lxss\rootfs

      then how do I define this=:
      WorkingDirectory=/path/to/nodebb
      ExecStart=/usr/bin/env node loader.js --no-silent --no-daemon

    • Help me out with installing nodeBB on Digital Ocean

      I've been at this for hours... I've managed to install Discourse but nodebb no no no lol

      For some reason I'm cursed. I'm also new at this but I follow every guide to the letter...

      I tried: https://www.blogsynthesis.com/install-nodebb-on-digitalocean/

      and https://community.nodebb.org/topic/6816/installing-nodebb-on-digital-ocean-0-8v/4

      and maybe some other guide too, I can't even remember now.

      I just need someone who knows this stuff to tell me at what point I'm doing stuff wrong. I really cannot figure this out on my own or with Google... Already been at this for hours.

      A good step by step guide is what I need. I followed the discourse install guide and I succeeded at that. Means it was good and not outdated. :octocat: )
