Suffolk County: PLEASE vote YES on Proposition 2.

Most of Long Island and Fire Island still uses septic tanks and cesspools in people's lawns instead of sewer pipes to treatment facilities. This SUCKS for sanitation, water quality, and marine life.

Prop 2 is a 0.125% sales-tax increase — just 1.25 cents per $10 spent! — to fund HUGE sewage-infrastructure upgrades.

Get our literal shit out of our lawns, our groundwater, and the Bay.

I need to increase the size of a big (2 TB) database instance soon, and the promise of migrations with less downtime would save me a lot of work… if it works.

Does it? Any big pitfalls?
