I have seen the seers and been through the trance of oblivion. They say I did well while my depths were plumbed. Several potential adversaries revealed and exiled.
I awaken. And i hunger.

With the completion of the ritual cleansing, I am left hollow with perhaps only my name remaining in my possession.
It is time to see the seers.
The second potion has been mixed and consumed. I claim my throne to begin the final round of ritual cleansing before voyaging to the seers
The first session of ritual cleansing is complete. I hope.
I have mixed and drunk the potion, adventure is sure to shortly begin :ablobgrimace:
Starting a liquid diet for a thing tomorrow. Very sad that beer doesn't count as liquid diet.
Like don't say anything, just lean over with a googly eye sticker in each hand.
Maybe go "boop!" as you press the googly eyes on the Ray-Ban Meta smart glass lenses.
@benbrown Maybe the sun will glint off the chrome bull with a kind of death ray lensing effect and set the flag ablaze @thegibson
Let me tell you, writing a networked multiplayer game of Pong in Java with a real GUI without drowning in Visual C++ was pretty dang cool
The project after that was an IRC client, because I was pathologically online even then
Was trying to remember when I first poked around with coding in Java and realized... ugh...
it was back when the first edition of O'Reilly's "Java in a Nutshell" came out in 1996 (!) - "Java in a Nutshell is a complete quick-reference guide to Java, the hot new programming language from Sun Microsystems."
I have this book around here somewhere. I remember using it for a couple projects in my senior year of college
(hot new programming language )
@jalefkowit I was fully expecting there to be like subscription box services for vaccines so I could just jab myself every quarter. Still kinda wish that ended up being a thing
@aud (sickos.jpg) ha ha ha
@randomgeek WHERE IS MY PHONE
as I look for it using my phone's flash light
Revealing how not a devoted Star Wars fan I am: just today I learned Lucas replaced the Ewok “Yub Nub” song with a “Victory Celebration” song in one of the special edition edits? Oof
This list of required tools to replace a battery on an iPhone 16 prompts two thoughts in me:
1) I want to see this presented in a Wes Anderson style set to jaunty music - where each tool is presented center screen on a colored background with a carefully hand-printed description card positioned below and an earnest narrator intones the name of each item
2) This list feels like a warning, with the intent to warn anyone handy away from dabbling in the dark iPhone arts
Tool images, descriptions, and part numbers
Apple Support (support.apple.com)
(i don't expect this will work)
I have training budget left over at work. I am scheming to make the case that I will read training course materials on a Steam Deck screen if they let me expense it.
@kissane I would say there are nerds inside Mozilla who are baffled by the whole thing, too
But, that funding thing turns out to be a real lynchpin and a dilemma all at the same time
@darius ooh, for some reason I had that filed away as "a Deno thing" but it appears I was mistaken
Sweet merciful crap, I think this vector-iffic Missile Command style shooter on steroids was designed to activate all my neurons.
It's called Utopia Must Die and it's a steal at US$6 - I'd spend at least that much in quarters on it in one night
