Would be really interesting if a webhoster (not reseller) would have their own mastodon instance for public reg. I know only of manitu.social (via @felsqualle) but its closed. mementomori.social from @rolle is another example and has pub reg.

Reasoning: running a mastodon instance for sure the most expensive is compute and storage (db and media). Both which are less of an issue if you have spare capacity available.
