"Richard Stallman's problematic behavior, particularly with respect to his views on sexual harassment, sexual assault, and sexualizing minors, are best explained by his (supposed) neurodivergence, and to call for his censure on this basis is discrimina...@SuperDicq @drewdevault Well consent isn't just an age thing though, it's also a question of position/power.
So even if people would have full maturity for consent under 18, someone over 18 can (and honestly given the massive power gap, very likely would) abuse their position over a minor.
It's why there's the notion of "free and explicit consent". -
Society and politics devroom at FOSDEM?@drewdevault @SuperDicq @finlaydag33k Possible but pretty sure most people would only trust a moderator that's not known for having a strong opinion on the topic, which could have the immediate effect of being seen as an unfair moderator regardless of facts. -
in the Netherlands, there is a traffic jam for bikes...@vriska @mametsuko Nah not really. Pedestrians or even runners don't wear any after all.
Specially as when you actually follow the money on "commuters need to wear helmets!", it's car industries. -
in the Netherlands, there is a traffic jam for bikes...@vriska @mametsuko very rare for commuters to actually wear any, it's more a sport cycling thing -
All ActivityPub implementations need a feature where if you’re posting intensely enouugh you’ll produce >10k posts over the course of a year, it locks your account for a week and tells you to log off and touch some grass -
Today's interest: just how does a modern PC motherboard implement soft ATX power control?@cks deep-sleep logic at least somewhat makes sense to me, I think it's mostly turning of the peripherals and a special mode on the CPU similar to turning cores off.
While power back to last state is weird to me given how I conceptualize ATX power as "pushing the power button pulls ATX pin 16 (green) low and then mobo keeps low while on".
Kind of makes me wish someone like Ben Eater would explain it. ^^ -
Today's interest: just how does a modern PC motherboard implement soft ATX power control?@cks As in suspend-on-ram / S3 deep-sleep? -
The obvious choice for ActivityPub’s birthday would be the 23rd of January 2018 - the day it was annointed as a W3C recommendation.@erincandescent Also made me check out of curiosity, seems like ActivityPub federation in Pleroma dates back from around 2017-12-11 with commit 5599c5920c293ac993146e21a73520213bbe2a8a
It already had ActivityPub but non-federating prior to that date.
