@liamvhogan @trib it was my pet hate in Melbourne, a bunch of 90s shitboxes driving around with historic plates. Does not seem to be any enforcement of the supposed limited use requirements.

Landy spotto on Melbourne SE exurb fringe.@trib @liamvhogan I love seeing tents on top of army land rovers. The max load limit for the roof is 80kg IIRC.

as predicted, the budget has been changed to accommodate the work.@liamvhogan wild how making sure the 80kg object you hang 80m above the heads of the public doesn't fall down suddenly opens up the coffers.

had a couple of pretty good wins today, nothing earth shattering, but those little wins you get where it makes a difference to your week, maybe stretches out to a month. Anyway, hope everyone else is having some wins.had a couple of pretty good wins today, nothing earth shattering, but those little wins you get where it makes a difference to your week, maybe stretches out to a month. This is hilarious.@liamvhogan there is no property owner in this country that would not sell their property to a developer to be knocked down for higher density redevelopment.

This is hilarious.@liamvhogan its pretty funny* how little courage any govt at any level has had for something so obvious that a tiny minority campaigned against.

If I had a dollar for every solar installer I’d seen around here climbing over 30-degree roof pitches without any fall protection at all, I’d have made a serious dent in my mortgage.@liamvhogan @MattHatton I would by lying if I said I have not been that guy. Or the guy just trailing a rope along behind him while he walks around....

If I had a dollar for every solar installer I’d seen around here climbing over 30-degree roof pitches without any fall protection at all, I’d have made a serious dent in my mortgage.@MattHatton not just anchors either, ladders, guardrails that aren't installed properly, dodgy walkway just lying on roofs, cunts dont care because they wont pay to get it fixed

We have sites where the same shit has been tagged out for 5+ years, no intention to fix it.

If I had a dollar for every solar installer I’d seen around here climbing over 30-degree roof pitches without any fall protection at all, I’d have made a serious dent in my mortgage.@MattHatton because you don't know and don't know you don't know - that's my guess.

Also, I hope they were installing panels over the top of the existing roof anchors, which is the industry standard.

Every now and then I see someone on LinkedIn say 'Get hired!' and recall that this exact phrase, in George Macdonald Fraser's flawed but excellent WWII memoir Quartered Safe Out Here, is Cumbrian dialect all at once for 'you're a liar', 'you're having ...@liamvhogan I'm sure I will spend some time doing this
