In the US, homes in easily accessible neighborhoods around major universities are typically more expensive and thus often out of reach for early career faculty.In the US, homes in easily accessible neighborhoods around major universities are typically more expensive and thus often out of reach for early career faculty. I’ve lived this myself so I appreciate the emphasis on the need for multiple choices while simultaneously expanding public services.
