Wrote two new songs today, plus a few verses for one I've been working on for a couple of months.

Some new crafty things showed up without making the songs too clever. One is AABBC where C rhymes verse-to-verse. The other song came with a bridge and a key-change, which isn't my usual thing.

I "should" have been going over parts for Saturday's chorus rehearsal but I'll take it.

When I talk about my music, I often talk about hard things I've been through, because as I went through them it was helpful to know that other people had gone through them and thrived, or adapted in frankly beautiful ways.

I find that people respond positively to vulnerability in my art.

Telling, as they say, my stories from the scars, not the wounds.

The best thing I can possibly hear, after a show, is, "I did not know that I needed to hear that."

Thinking of migrating my main over here. I like the local timeline here, it's cozy and nicely folkoused. Seems mostly UK content though -- would a USian folk scene influx (in my wildest dreams) be welcome?
