Beginner #Fediverse developer here with a question; How do I tell the wider #ActivityPub universe that my server exists?@julian Thanks, that makes sense. I assume that because I have followers, when I post an update with a hashtag it's the push to my followers servers that allows Mastodon instances to pick up the hashtag and share it with folks who follow the tag but not me.
