Seeing a lot of posts wondering what a white person can do to signal to people that they didn’t vote for Trump. -
If I were a cloud security vendor, and one of my customers suffered the most infamous hack of the year, I would simply...not publicly brag that they were my customer. If I were a cloud security vendor, and one of my customers suffered the most infamous hack of the year, I would simply...not publicly brag that they were my customer.
Like, seriously. You couldn't pay me enough. WTF.

Even if you're disillusioned with electoral politics, I implore all people in the US eligible to vote: please vote. You may think things can't get worse if Trump wins again, but they absolutely can - for everyone in the world.@MrEdgarBass @brainblasted @onepict I can absolutely agree with that; even with down-ballot races, you never know when you're voting for the next presidential or VP candidate.

In case anybody who works at Washington Post or LA Times is reading this, I’d just like to point out@inthehands I half expected the Washington Post to be hosted entirely on AWS, which the owner would ostensibly have control over, but at least the web frontend is Akamaied.
(But DNS is at least halfway on AWS, to my original point. )

(And they were explicitly responsible for flipping the three seats over the wheelchair spots up, so there was no ambiguity for those.)
Sad to hear that isn't the norm, thanks.

Einmal mit Profis@tschaefer @goetz In my experience, it depends on whether the network is IPv6-only — that combined with either VPN software that's IPv6-unaware, or there are headend references using IPv4 literals, will result in a Bad Time.
(Obviously 464XLAT will help with this, if it's in a context where it's in play.)

I am in awe of the industrial design of the PlayStation 5, a device that cannot stand on its own either vertically or horizontally.@jalefkowit @0x0ddc0ffee What the heck? Did they stop including the vertical stand? Those came with it 13-14 months ago.
(I don't disagree with the overarching critique of the PS5's physical properties, however.)

I have never understood why people don't vote.@vwdasher @jalefkowit @risottobias I am not disagreeing with you.

Weird inversion of the "designers should try building a site on old hardware, slow connections, small screens"@risottobias We should stop giving developers IPv4, then.

I have never understood why people don't vote.@vwdasher @jalefkowit @risottobias Not only do we not have democracy sausages, some places have made the very idea of democracy sausages illegal.
