Time for an accessibility audit on the website. I'm 90% of the way there before I start. My secret? When *anyone,* even if they are major stakeholders, asks to put a Word document, or anything else that is not already in compliant PDF format or HTML code, on the library's website I refuse. Need some alt text in the Media Library, used judiciously so screen reader users don't get annoyed with the same words twice, in which case alttext="null." Done!

Who can tell me about Diaspora and Friendica and why, once again, when people are looking for Fediverse alternatives, we the geeks befuddle the masses with this “choose randomly from thousands of servers with no guidance” thing. Most social media users think servers are the people you tell how you want your steak cooked.
