I knew that after so many years of not going to events, #xoxofest was going to feel like a weird dream to me, but that was both loopier and so much dreamier than I was expecting, lordy. (And I barely saw or totally missed so many internet friends.)@kissane Weird dream are the perfect words for it. I was not prepared for how…bad I’d be at starting conversations with new people after so many years of pretty much only socializing with people I already know. Like, how do I do this again?
It was good seeing you, briefly. Your talk was amazing. I think the event has re-wired my brain.

I am so tired after meeting so many cool people yesterday but also, like, intoxicated by the feeling of possibility. I am at an inflection point in my career and it is inspiring to meet so many people doing so many cool things.I am so tired after meeting so many cool people yesterday but also, like, intoxicated by the feeling of possibility. #xoxofest is a reminder that the internet can be wonderful, if that’s what we decide. We can connect with each other, if that’s what we decide. We can leave things better than we found them, if that’s what we decide.
