Nintendo's entire thing is low end hardware to hit the most affordable price point possible and then pushing interesting software that makes use of the quirks of their hardware. That's why the Wii and Switch sold so well, and the Wii U still has a cult following. It's weird hardware with good games. Of course Nintendo isn't competing with PC handhelds, because the next console is gonna undercut them by like $500 at minimum.
