@ethanwhite I do a fair amount of reviews and it happens quite frequently that authors cite a paper that doesn't actually support their argument, i.e. they never actually read it, or didn't read it properly. I can only imagine this will increase in future.

In English we use 'mouthpiece' for the part you blow into on a brass instrument .

There is also 'codpiece'!

Is it similar with words that end with -stück ? I can think of Frühstück, which means breakfast but literally translates as 'early piece'.

It is too early in the morning for me to think of other examples...
