All the women told you he sucked@skinnylatte @artcollisions I recall hearing as much very shortly after the first time I heard about him and his pay promise.
Like you said, they ignored it. But what I'm trying to say is, it definitely didn't take until now for it to be clear they were ignoring it; it was clear right from the start (as I'm sure you know, just feels like it bears emphasising)

What this says to me is that all those people saying they didn't know, totally knew. They just chose to ignore it.

Years ago to win an extra point in a pub quiz, I added to the Wikipedia profile of Orson Welles that he directed the Hofmeister bear commercials. This "fact" has now appeared in several books & Hofmeister's own marketing.@robsborn @jeztastic @fesshole
This was added after the Guardian article.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Orson_Welles&diff=prev&oldid=779691329There was nothing equivalent present at the time the Guardian article was written, so the Guardian's source must have been something other than Wikipedia

"Remember how he started off with “I’ve never been anything but nice to you, and we worked together for years.” Ladies… does this sound familiar? IYKYK."@onepict @antijingoist at this point I am wondering what exactly the wordpress foundation actually does that's of value
Like, does it provide any clear benefit to the wordpress project or is it just reputation laundering
