@paulox Unfortunately for me, but good for you, there aren't many third-party scripts on your site so it isn't a good candidate for my research.

Anyone know of a site that could benefit from a free web site performance audit? I'm still looking.https://front-end.social/@grigs/113239176481874196@joshuaiz This looks like a good candidate site. Also, the clothing is super cute.
I'll follow up in DM.

Three people reached out last night to let me know that my question to Matt Mullenweg is quoted in WP Engine’s lawsuit against Matt and Automattic.@schwa Honestly, I'm happy it is in court now. That's where it belongs.
Maybe one day we'll get a full accounting that will make some sense of how bizarre the whole thing has been.
In the meantime, I'm just happy that lawyers and judges are getting involved which is admittedly a strange thing to say.

Three people reached out last night to let me know that my question to Matt Mullenweg is quoted in WP Engine’s lawsuit against Matt and Automattic.@schwa Yeah, I’m not deep in the community either. We have a couple of clients using WordPress on WP Engine.
When the blow up first happened, I ignored it because that’s not where my interests lie. But then he impacted all WP Engine customers so suddenly I had to pay attention. And that's when I realized how weird the whole situation was.
So strange that I decided to ask him a couple of questions. I was surprised to get an answer let alone that the answer would end up in the lawsuit.

though TBH, his actions have been so baffling that I don't know that I can define what “to mullenweg something" is. WTF has he been doing?
Or perhaps more importantly, where are his lawyers? Maybe they finally got to him because he's been quiet so far today.

I’m still stunned by his response to my question.
But then, everything that has come out over the last week and in this lawsuit make it clear that not everything was as it seemed in the WordPress community.

Looking for a site to use in my https://perfnow.nl/ talk. What I need is a site with:The site owner would get the following out of the deal:
* Free performance audit with an emphasis on how to speed up third-party scripts
* If the experiments are successful, they can deploy them and speed up their site
* Publicity at the conference and on our blog
* Answers about their site performance and what they can do to improve it (beyond just third-party scripts)Does anyone have any suggestions on good candidate sites?

* A fair number of third-party scripts
* An owner willing to let me experiment on a dev server to see the relative impact of perf improvements

Ironically, the WordPress hosting environment that I have found the most limiting was WordPress VIP.
TBH, I don’t mind opinionated hosting environments. In fact, I think it is part of what you pay for.
But to think WP Engine is the only host modifying what you can do with WordPress is flatly wrong. Automattic does it.

Today's tip: Don't wear a flesh-colored shirt in the photo you use on social media—especially on LinkedIn where you're trying to look professional.@incanus omg. It totally got me

Today’s actions by @photomatt will make it much more difficult to recommend WordPress to customers in the future. One final point on this topic. One of our customers using WordPress on WP Engine is a manufacturer of generators.
Every hand at the company is on deck right now to help people impacted by the hurricane that is supposed to hit Florida tomorrow.
The last thing they need is additional barriers in the way of helping people who may be in harms way. So @photomatt, your petty actions could literally end up putting someone's life in danger.
Grow up.
