To new nodeBB users who are about to launch a new community with already several 10k active members. For example, we're currently trying the following ones but the first one doesn't work somehow for us:

• nodebb-plugin-canned-responses
• list itemnodebb-plugin-carton
• nodebb-plugin-category-sort-by-votes
• nodebb-plugin-deny-moderator-access

So which plugin do you use most and recommend?

Regarding GDPR, you might want to review your registration process. When signing up, it seems that there is a bug going on as the new user need to sign up for the newsletter to be able to register... At least that's happened to my colleague.

We're using NodeBB comment plugin that we added to our WordPress blog. When users start commenting, they get then notified for every single answer when they actually want to be notified only to their own reply.

Is there a plugin or a known hack to receive notification email to own reply only?

Also with forum that support multiple languages, the Japanese or Russian urls become very unreadable with
