I played a bit with GoToSocial, a kind of easy to run Mastodon implementation. Runs nicely!

But it comes without a web client. One could use the Tusky app.. but it's just for the mobile. I tried the Elk and Phanpy web clients, but somehow the web client from the normal Mastodon software feels best for me.

In the future, for hosting bots on Mastodon, or users which I access via Tusky, GoToSocial is a nice option:
