@liamvhogan John Howard was dead to me when he was Treasurer under Fraser. To be precise, the day he made my mum cry because the Razor Gang cut back the child endowment.

@liamvhogan Yeah, they are definately to make less work for the real estate agent. From what I saw of my son's complaint of a sparking power socket the portals are not doing landlords any favours either.

I mean it's 22 hours later and that power socket is still sparking, with the risk of burning down the property. The REA was called in person to ask permission to turn the circuit breaker off, but was told the REA was on holidays and to ask in the portal. No response yet, not even to say "CB to off asap thanks".

I do wish that US code-based door locks would follow the Korean example and do away with keys. The keyway being the weakest part of the design of the lock.

In case the internal battery goes flat the Korean door locks have two exterior terminals which take a 9V battery, which is an elegant solution.
