Cursed phrase: ‘property maintenance portal’@liamvhogan Yeah, they are definately to make less work for the real estate agent. From what I saw of my son's complaint of a sparking power socket the portals are not doing landlords any favours either.
I mean it's 22 hours later and that power socket is still sparking, with the risk of burning down the property. The REA was called in person to ask permission to turn the circuit breaker off, but was told the REA was on holidays and to ask in the portal. No response yet, not even to say "CB to off asap thanks".

On the one hand, it’s a beautiful spring afternoon and I have a motorbike key right here. On the other hand the requirement to be here at work to keep my job@liamvhogan Felt exactly the same driving to a meeting rather than cycling to a coffee shop.

I do wish that US code-based door locks would follow the Korean example and do away with keys. In case the internal battery goes flat the Korean door locks have two exterior terminals which take a 9V battery, which is an elegant solution.
