@randomgeek that EOD / COB tension

"EOD" is always a fraught thing to hear from someone on neurospicy time. -
Y’all, I didn’t have any particular sort of emotion around coloring in the Harris box on my ballot, but now that the whole thing is marked, sealed, and signed, just waiting for drop off tomorrow?@randomgeek when we lived there -- in the naughts -- my graduate advisor described Tucson as "an island of conservatism in a sea of fascism", and I've been flogging that line ever since.

2) our return status thing includes the ability to sign up for email and/or text messages about status changes …which is nice
3) my personal pref is to drop ballots off at the drive-thru box at the local courthouse — which I will do tomorrow morning. Vote-by-mail is great, but there’s something satisfying about handing your ballot off to an election worker! -

We never vote early enough for this to matter though …but we also don’t seem to get door knockers, but shit in the mail.

I have no illusions that Tuesday SETTLES anything, but my personal anxiety just unclenched a stage or two, after doing the thing.

As with pretty much every election I participate in here, I will take the chance today to say: if you live somewhere that does not offer vote-by-mail — you really should be aiming to get universal vote-by-mail.As with pretty much every election I participate in here, I will take the chance today to say: if you live somewhere that does not offer vote-by-mail — you really should be aiming to get universal vote-by-mail. No-cause absentee ballots are nice, but having the chance to sit down, at your leisure, and review ballot guides, candidate and interested party statements, discuss with family, and mark the ballot with no time pressure, then drop it off or mail it in — so nice!

developers say “the complexity of this task is out of scope” when they really mean “I don’t wanna”@zachleat usually I mean, “I think this is a bad idea, and I don’t wanna”

How in the hell did it take me so long to accept that I am #ActuallyAutistic?@randomgeek @m yeah, this plus I’m ~90% sure I’m some flavor or other of neurospicy myself but I’m not gonna bother with a diagnosis at thia point which means I’m also not gonna claim any labels either and it all adds up to ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

How in the hell did it take me so long to accept that I am #ActuallyAutistic?@m 1) I’m not sure I’ve known you as long as you’re looking for
2) I know so many neurospicy people that I’m not sure I’d notice it as “different” even if I knew you -
Wow – I just OTP'd into a service I haven't used for ten years. It's crazy to realize they've been generating a new code for me every 30 seconds that whole time.@SwiftOnSecurity won’t somebody think of the entropy
