@broadwaybabyto on the 1st of October 1966 rhe Romanian dictator, Ceaușescu signed into law decree 770 which banned abortion. I don't know how many Americans remember the news stories from the 90s about the orphanages in Romania, but that was a direct result of the ban.

There are examples in history about other promises made during the campaign. It's gut wrenching to watch, but I guess history repeats in cycles.

@mekkaokereke @JoshuaHolland I wasn't blessed with black skin, but at least I seem to have adopted the black male version of masculinity. I never knew giving your friends hugs, telling them that you love them or being an involved parent was considered "unmasculine".

To me that just sounds like being a d**k.
