A reminder to those in the US who do not know Trump during his time as president massively increased the US's drone war and this year had his son in law Kushner working with the Israeli far right to plan for a complete ethnic cleansing of Gaza because they want the land.
In his first two years in office, Donald Trump launched 238 drone strikes in Yemen, Pakistan, and Somalia—way beyond what the ‘Drone President’ Barack Obama did.
The Daily Beast (www.thedailybeast.com)
The US will not have to publish how many civilians are killed in drone strikes outside of war zones.

Donald Trump’s son-in-law also says Israel should bulldoze an area of the Negev desert and move Palestinians there

@StevenSavage @mastodonmigration And the NYT wants to pretend that they are doing the right thing.
Throughout their crusade against Biden to get him to drop out they said they were doing it because the NYT only cares for what is best for the US and democracy. If they actually cared about democracy or even about accuracy they would not support Trump as they do.
What the NYT really cares about is power. Access to power and power itself.
@mastodonmigration I expect that NYT and Sulzberger will put out a mealymouthed and late and damning with faint praise editorial board endorsement of Harris but will otherwise continue spinning every story for Trump until election day.
@zenkat @mastodonmigration Yes and that is the point. But the NYT spun this in favor of Trump.
If I were in a fair news outlet I would have reported that due to the threat to democracy presented by Trump a historically broad coalition spanning from Sanders to Cheney is supporting Harris. Cheney does not agree on policy with Harris but recognizes that she is the only one who will maintain democracy.
@mastodonmigration NYT is trying their best to make this into a pro Trump story. Like everything else they do.
@GottaLaff The antifascist coalition in the US is like that in France. There is no need for everyone to agree on policies just that the fascists must be defeated.
@TechConnectify Oh huh. I did not know you did a video on that. Going to check it out now.
