@himbovoorhees awhile ago i got sucked into this tumblr that just posts screenshots of people's DNI lists and it is wild out there

they have the ikea air purifiers we have in a few of the rooms but they look so dinky in here. definitely not enough

chronic illness things: always being the youngest person in the waiting room

'uh, psoriatic arthritis... and... trans...'

nobody answered and we rushed out the door because it's way the hell across town in suburbia and i was late but woo not cancelled

now i'm here for 2-3 hours of testing and possibly scary glaucoma laser

calling to find out if my appointment was cancelled. this is the weirdest hold ever. phone rings an arbitrary number of times, then switches back to music, then back to ringing

and i've been so anxious about one procedure they might need to do that i didn't want to read the info package so that's another reason i didn't see that part of the letter

the optometrist that referred me called when the letter arrived and told me about it, then they emailed it to me, and then i got a paper letter in the mail from the ophthalmologist. so something in my brain went, "we talked to somebody on the phone, it's obviously confirmed" and i didn't look at the letter again

the adhd tax is so demoralizing. so embarrassing to have to say i forgot etc

looks like the office opens 20 minutes before my appointment so i can call before we leave tomorrow to find out if it's still happening. dammit i waited a really long time

adhd tax: i find the letter from my ophthalmologist appointment that i was referred to over a year ago and it says "please call to confirm or it may be cancelled"

oh it's pronouns day. been thinking about trying they/them or other pronouns? why not throw them in your profile and see how it feels when people use them? by using new pronouns you will not be "taking things away" from the "real" trans people or whatever. that's fake. try new pronouns if you want to!
