wow more basic as fuck spam from mastodon.social that would have been caught by a email spam filter from the 2000s@packetcat I keep wondering how feasible it would be to like... build that as a 3rd party app for Mastodon?
I guess idk how many API methods for admin stuff are exposed but surely you could make an app that could act as an admin and handle that stuff but I'm a bit out of my depth
Even though it would only be effective when used from m.s in that case because even as an admin on tenforward.social I doubt you can easily detect "random account from m.s mentions someone on my instance" but maybe I'm wrong.

@Claire The article I pointed to was about fully self hosting your own atoproto infrastructure, including relay, and people seem to be getting excited about it on bluesky as being feasible, and I'm feeling uncertain it is@cwebber @Claire Clearly for an individual it's far too expensive to run the whole stack, but I guess the expectation is that 3rd party will like... form to gather that kind of resources/funding to run relays? Still unclear to me how things actually work when more than one Relay exist. Is the Bluesky app supposed to be able to switch between multiple at once?
