To echo Michelle Barker’s earlier posts, HTML is hard.@mahryekuh usually I switch between manual typing and clicking buttons depending on my mood

To echo Michelle Barker’s earlier posts, HTML is hard.@mahryekuh my point was more that if the intricacies of HTML were easy, we would not need these editors
so the existence of them proves people wrong who say HTML is easy

To echo Michelle Barker’s earlier posts, HTML is hard.@mahryekuh if it was easy, why do even have CMSes?

I personally don't need the FSF or RMS to be a Free Software person that promotes the merits for Software Freedom.@jwildeboer yeah

Absolutely wild how many companies are adopting AI notetaking apps for meetings.@jessie I guess it depends. If you have an enterprise contract with Microsoft and use their Copilot AI for it, it doesn't change much in terms of confidentiality because they already have all your mails.

Wikipedia now needs to have a "WikiProject AI Cleanup". They should send Sam Altman a massive bill for all their extra, unnecessary work.@Peternimmo @donnodubus @festal to me, this merely emphasizes the need for open access science: if we accept it as normal that your sources are paywalled, then how can we easily verify the claims? it should be trivial to verify in seconds. Now we do trust the AI sources because they give a trustworthy impression. (I mean here: a completely false title to a non-existing article, not an AI generated source article)

Wikipedia now needs to have a "WikiProject AI Cleanup". They should send Sam Altman a massive bill for all their extra, unnecessary work.@Peternimmo @donnodubus @festal It does ban _sources_ that are generated with AI, and any content on Wikipedia needs to be verifiable. So I would argue that it is already banned in essence, this cleanup act is not really different from removing regular spam, except it is a bit harder to detect.

A large contingent of webdevs seem to think that fast means “best-case fast.”“Our web sites are fast on expensive hardware and from reliable fiber networks.”Worst-case fast is a much more meaningful, impressive, and inclusive claim to make! Fast on low...@slightlyoff @mahryekuh @bobmonsour @zachleat @phae @owa Meh, JS is fine, just keep it to reasonable size and prefer CSS alternatives
