When I purchased the URL https://elena.social I didn't know what I would end up doing with it.
I thought of grabbing the URL so that years down the line, when I knew Linux a bit better, I could self-host a Fediverse project on it.
Well, the future is now.
I found the PERFECT use for it: a landing page with all my links powered by #LinkStack (an open source alternative to LinkTree).
I installed the app on my VPS in a few clicks thanks to the magic of #YunoHost... and then personalized it in a few minutes. It's really cool.

Some time ago (a few years now maybe?) somebody apparently registered themselves on Instagram using *my* email address. -

The points made by MissKey’s founder are totally obvi (and I can’t imagine how astronomical his operating costs may be)… it’s just a little sad — truly the end of an era
