(learned to do PWM on the PC Speaker by disassembling a couple of speech software)

Yup, looks like they are emulating the APIs and running the x86-64 code directly, rather than emulating the CPU. (i.e. It's closer to Wine/Proton than MAME). Neat trick and congrats to the team for the results on SteamDeck
