Photographed earlier this year back in June.
Down of the River Wear riverbank on the route that normally is the the last stretch of the C2C cycle route (if you're travelling from west to east). It's temporarily suspended and re-routed while the new pedestrian/cycle bridge is being constructed just around the bend in the river from Wearmouth Bridge.
Spring was coming to and end and summer waiting in the wings – probably my favourite time of the year!

The Loch Shiel NSA extends to the summits of the hills on either side of the loch, as well as the hills surrounding Glen Hurich and the monument just behind where I took this photograph at Glenfinnan.
