I just had the Idea of a page/widget showing the latest forum activities. It could for example show the following Information:

• User X liked User Ys post in "My topic"
• User X reacted with "any emoji" to User Ys post
• User X wrote in "My topic"
• User Y just registered
• User X now follows User Y

This widget could refresh every time when an activity happened.

I had this idea because even if there are no posts for a longer time there is still activity in form of upvotes for example. A widget like this could possibly encourage users to look for which post was upvoted and be part of the discussion.

I have no idea if and how that could be implemented but what do you think?

On Harmony theme blockquotes are not collapsing as it seems. Or am I missing a setting? If there are nested, long quotes it can be a scrolling marathon on mobile devices.

For example, here the whole screen is filled by quotes and it's only 2 nested quotes:

It also depends on the Browser you are using. On here I don't have this issue with Chrome but with Soul Browser, which has a bottom navigation too. It overlaps the forum navigation.

Yes in our forum it is used quite often and it would be a helpful feature if a user gets feedback in form of a notification when another user has reacted to a post. I will stay tuned for a possible new plugin.

It's great. I hope in the future same goes for flagship devices. At the moment it feels like getting a phone like this or Fairphone, you make a compromise in having a sustainable phone but only get mid-range specs.

Same should go for software side. For example I just bought a 3 years old Oneplus 8 Pro, still a banger phone running Snapdragon 865 with 12gb of RAM but updates will end soon. Sure I could go for LOS but then I have to deal with banking apps not working etc. 2-3 Years software support is a joke.

Could the workflow of adding custom emojis be improved? It feels very tedious. You have to upload and name one after the other. It could be much easier if you could upload multiple emojis at once and they would also be named automatically based on the file name. Changes could be made afterwards. Also sorting and bulk delete would be great features in my opinion.

You find the login.tpl in the plugin folder of the theme you are using, e.g. /node_modules/nodebb-theme-harmony/templates/login.tpl

After changing a template you have to rebuild & restart your nodebb to see effects.

According to the docs, first install mongodb then nodejs. But not sure if it makes any difference.

I love them. Tried one at the office and immediately ordered one for home. Especially after lunch or when getting tired it's a game changer for me. It often brings me back to focus to stand up and my back thanks me too.

Yes old topic but why is it by design that by default badges are manually selected by user? In my view if you use it together with nodebb-rewards-essentials it's some kind of reward ("User with 100 posts" e.g.) so it should be auto selected after being assigned. If a user doesn't like it he can remove it manually.

public/favicon.ico and public/uploads/system/favicon.ico must be your favicon. It did still not work for me until I uploaded touch icons in Admin Tools. So make sure you have uploaded favicon and touch icons.

I've noticed that the Desktop users widget doesn't look like the mobile version. Mobile you have two in a row, Desktop is only one user per row (for me at least). If you want to display 10 or more online users the height of the widget would be unnecessary huge or?

Edit: I've just noticed that when you reload the page, two users are displayed in a row for a fraction of a second. I assume this has something to do with Flexbox?
