Yeah, I'll likely never return here because I have no reason to, and I just kinda clogged up this thread with personal opinions about discourse vs nodebb, so goodbye

Vote for NodeBB@brazzerstop The issue is more when you enter dark mode. A lot of stuff here has random white borders and do not have any different styling than light, for example the composer:

The markdown on Discourse is also much better and there is no delay to the preview, it's also easier to understand for beginners
@DownPW said in Vote for NodeBB :
Discourse is still very ugly and dated
The default theme is not meant to actually stay on most sites, as there are a lot of extremely custom themes on there meant to customize your site a lot, i have even developed 2 of my own
In my opinion, the "ugly and dated" part could go for nodeBB as well

Vote for NodeBB@julian I much prefer the more spaced out look of Discourse, nodeBB is obviously meant to be a lot more compact, just comparing the 2's homepages

I could go all day about things that I personally think are better over on Discourse, but I probably wont, because I've owned a good 6 Discourse sites, but no nodeBB ones so it's not really fair for me to compare it anything other than the normal user interface, because I've never looked at anything admin related.
I cant relate at all to their UI being hard to pickup, I first joined a Discorse forum in 2017 and I picked up on everything about it pretty quickly!

Vote for NodeBB@phenomlab Not sure, the extreme lack of actual styling here is kinda an issue imo
That's your opinion though, and I have my own

Vote for NodeBB@phenomlab Personally I think it's clunky and the navigation isn't great + a lot of the themes are unpleasant to look at, but that's just my personal opinion so dont take it too harsh.

Vote for NodeBB@cagatay I don't know what voting multiple times is based off, I voted so much that it completely blocked me outright lol
Not going to say what I voted for multiple times, but I think it should be obvious enough to tell
