the quaker meeting we were raised in was very dilligent about having monthly letter-writing sessions to our congresspeople about stopping the middle east forever wars and actually doing something about the climate and maybe not spying on everyone all the time. not even once was there a situation where not writing those letters would have resulted in them voting differently

anytime anyone suggest writing to our congressperson we just kinda silently laugh
