Covid minimizers often dismiss studies where the cohort was unvaccinated. Contextualized, these studies should still concern people, since most folks have been -- or will be (i.e. newborns) -- infected before their first vaccination, which reduces the effectiveness of subsequent vaccinations (*not* that they aren't still worth it)
Add the now-exponential rate of mutation, ensuring that emergent variants chew through our lagging vaccines
Then add the fact that a significant amount of people -- including, but not limited to the immunocompromised -- fail to produce antibodies in response to vaccination in the first place. Do these people not matter?
Then add the fact that some people simply don't tolerate the vaccines, due to allergy or some other vaccine injury. Do these people not matter?
*Then* add the fact that covid itself can compromise the immune system, impairing future immune responses to both infection and vaccination, creating a feedback loop upon additional infection. Are you getting it yet?
It's like the "first they came for..." poem. You are not as safe as you think you are -- you're just further back in the line of folks this shit is coming for. If that doesn't bother you, then you have internalized eugenics as a worldview -- and that is really fucked up
