no <_> it's necessary?

Hi! For installation I used this instruction [https://www.vultr.com/docs/how-to-install-nodebb-on-centos-7]
After installation I received 1.4.3 version and decided update to 1.7.0
Made command ./nodebb upgrade and it was executed successfully!
But updating still didn't happen, in the admin panel I see the old version and in the log of start too.

I am a beginner, give please the detailed instruction how to solve this problem. I lower hands and I just cry, it is very heavy.
