Around 2002, the NY Times interviewed me about coffee and espresso gear. I told them I could make better espresso with a $400 grinder and a $250 espresso machine, than I could with a $5,000 espresso machine and a $100 grinder. The reporter didn't believe me, but did print it.

A year later, Canada's Globe and Mail did a similar feature on me. This time the reporter visited to write the story. I made the same claim. He didn't believe me.

So I did exactly that - brewed two shots from those setups. He preferred the coffee from a Mazzer Mini / Krups 4000 series espresso machine, than he did from a Krups pressed burr grinder and a La Marzocco GS3 Prototype.

Bam.

@bentsai We have a plug in, temporarily, to help me idenfity broken internal links from our big design update (which also structurally changed the URL structure of the website).

For some reason, it also indicates broken external links for SOME sites that are still working fine (like SweetMarias website, for example).

It'll be turned off in another few weeks.

Our second Best of guide, the Best Budget Coffee Grinders for 2024, has had a good roll out. In 2 weeks, we've gone to the top 5 in search results (non sponsored, lol) on most search engines, and it's been read 140K.

I also heard back from one of the vendors we list (but make $0 from) and they noticed a real bump in sales. Good for them I suppose LOL! and good for the consumers who bought those grinders because they truly are fantastic machines.
