Are there any plugins to allow file download management? I wanted to create a similar structure to Box within NodeBB where I can upload files to it, and users can easily access different categories of download.

Thanks a lot. I wish I could modify it but unfortunately, I can't.

Maybe someone else will see a need for the same feature.

I have users that are registering that are part of a company.

Those users are one group and then we have members of the public.

During registration, can I make the process easier to assign a user to their relevant group?

I fear a lot of manual work filtering members into their right group so they only see their particular forums.

Is there a good solution for this?

So I had a play with stopping the forum and starting it again, as well as re-installing the plugin I have.

I now have a different error

Can't send mail - all recipients were rejected: 554 5.7.1 : Relay access denied

I'm trying Brevo (Sendinblue) and I'm still getting API key issues.

This really should be a lot more straight forward in the email settings.

Could it cause issues if the forum is on a sub-domain?

I've tried both, restarted the forum both times but no avail.

@carlm7 then you'll have to check the permissions on the API key. On some services (e.g. SendGrid) you need to explicitly enable mail sending for the key.

Once the API key works, email should just work.

Alternatively without the plugin you can try using the email settings bundled in NodeBB (in Settings > Email) and put your API key in there.

I checked the values and they are fine, I really wish there was a guide on how to install the plugin properly or get email set up with NodeBB

I have installed the plugin, used my API key etc.

Verified the domain and done SPF/DKIM records with Mailjet, unfortunately no emails delivering.

When I try sending a test email I get this:

I'm looking to set up Mailjet with Nodebb. I installed a plugin available but it doesn't appear under plugins, I'm not sure if the plugin is still compatible with v 2.8.12.

Does anyone have instructions on how to set NodeBB up properly with Mailjet? Thank you.
