I'm trying to understand how google indexes my Nodebb forum, maybe one of you could help me ?β¦
Obviously i'd like to get as many clicks on links to my forum as possible, but from what i'm gathering, whenever people search for words that do appear on my forum, they get different links (to the last post that's been published in a thread , or to a random page within the thread).
e.g. there's a thread about a specific movie on my forum, the thread holds the same title as the movie itself, but when people google the name of the movie + forum, they get results pointing to a post in the middle of the thread, not to the first page.
So no matter how successful a topic of discussion is on my site, it never really gets the recognition i wish it had on google, not because it's not indexed but because it is indexed several times, via multiple links, some of which hold no specific interest.
How can i send clear instructions to google on which pages are relevant / important to index ?
(sorry if this is a silly question, i'm clearly no expert⦠)

Getting rid of "x months ago" feature(Sorry if this topic's title is unclear, I'm not sure how to define this issue .)
Ever since my last nodebb update, whenever a member of my forum posts in an oldish topic, there's an extra line that says how long the topic has been inactive. Like this :
("ENVIRON 2 MOIS" means "about two months", meaning no one has updated the topic in about 2 months)How can I get rid of this feature ?

Post count : how can I meddle with what's countedAnyone ?

Bulleted lists : can I get rid of them ?@julian Thank you for your answer, and yes, that could be where the problem comes from.
I have these plugins on : default composer, alignment, markdown, simple spoiler.PS. But I don't have the "redactor plugin" if by that you mean a wysiwyg editor.

Bulleted lists : can I get rid of them ?Hello,
Here's a problem I've encountered on my forum : if people post a list and that list is used with another feature like if it's in a spoiler or if it's centered, it creates a bug that makes the topic crash (you can't reply anymore). The only solution is to delete the post.
I understand that it probably comes from a conflict between lists and the plugins I've installed in the redactor (spoiler, align, center etc).
But I wonder : has anyone encountered the same issue ?
And most importantly : is there a way to simply remove the list/bullets option ? (so that when you type a dash it doesn't turn into a bulleted list)Thanks in advance for your help !

Quote only that post, not multi-quote?@shinyidol I don't know if there's a permanent setting for that, but you can always make partial quotes by highlighting only what you want to quote and then clicking reply or quote. I suppose you have to "teach" the members to use this feature (select + quote, instead of just hitting quote)...

Post count : how can I meddle with what's countedHello !
Here's my question : I'd like to know if it's possible (through the acp, a plugin or something) to ignore some categories in the post count that's displayed on people's profiles.
I'd prefer it if the posts made in the administration zone of my forum didn't appear in the stats, so I can keep track of the actual public activity on my forum.
Can anyone help with that ?
