@sirber yeah, I think that’s part of trying to make on-boarding easier to use for non-technical users.

@jcrabapple the solution is make the onboarding more new-user friendly. I don’t think any people problems on Mastodon, or the greater fedi, are unique to our communities, though. There’s plenty of toxic shit on Bluesky, too.

Bluesky gained more than 700,000 new users in a week and now has more than 14.5 million users total. The “majority” of the new users are from the US.
