@Jaden3 I grew up in an affluent, white, suburban California family, so I had no direct exposure to Jim Crow. But we had a Black cleaning lady who came in once a week, and sometime circa 1963-64 I remember her talking to my mom about being afraid to visit her family in Mississippi because of the KKK. She literally was scared just to go see her relatives because of these creeps. That left an impression.
