@jsit I'm not sure how else we're supposed to interpret “in a galaxy far away” other than "not the milky way" right?

Are the humans in Star Wars — Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, etc. — biologically related to us?@jsit @illenseer "we are an offshoot of the Star Wars humans” implies /inter/-galactic travel, which has not been shown to exist in SW canon.
Regardless: distance-wise, on average, if a galaxy takes a couple weeks to cross end-to-end (rough derivation from poorly specified canonical travel times) then intergalactic travel would take a year and a half or more.
On top of that: hyperspace navigation in SW requires “nav data”, which is surely lacking in intergalactic space!

This is a super cool #BlueSky feature that I honestly wonder /if/ it could work on the #Fediverse? But edits, etc function seemingly fine here so I assume this would too? This is a super cool #BlueSky feature that I honestly wonder /if/ it could work on the #Fediverse? Sure, minor chance for 'drift' as the detach event chases down the original post event, but again…we use edits all the time which would have the same property.
The point about binary thinking is spot-on, anyway.

The binary thinking of "all quote posts are bad" and "quote posts are good actually" that pervades mastodon is simpleminded and self-defeating. This is such an obvious solution to bad quote posts and it's one of the reasons I'm hanging out here instead of there. [contains quote post or other embedded content]
