@zachleat I was wondering the same thing. Also why does the implementation take 100K+ lines of C++?

why is it called jpeg-XL if the images are smaller -
Hey @hongminhee do you know how to post HTML statuses to a Mastodon instance? The API claims to be able to take HTML as the body of the status, but I see the raw HTML posted, not the sanitized, formatted version.@hongminhee ok that’s what I thought. It’ll accept HTML statuses from other ActivityPub servers, but through the client API.

It would be nice if #Mastodon also supported some #markup, if not #Markdown. Like, `code` or *emphasis*?@hongminhee I want it to be part of a larger POSSE server I want to build so that I can send writing from my website to various places. Otherwise I would certainly consider Hollo.

Suddenly, I'm reminded of a service called Yahoo!@hongminhee Pipes was great! It would be great to have a new service that does both RSS and ActivityPub.

The new #Fedify tutorial I'm writing now even includes an explanation of #TypeScript and #JSX for readers who don't know them.@hongminhee I'd be happy to take a look sometime. I am planning on using #Fedify to build my own ActivityPub server soon and I am pretty new to TypeScript.

For educational purpose, I've created a federated microblog example using #Fedify, with a total of about 30 commits, which you can follow step by step.@hongminhee can you explain how you decide which typescript runtime to use for which project? Looks like you recommend Deno for fedify, Bun for Hollo, Node for this one?

I've got my new 4G monitor!@hongminhee what is that editor though?
