I just heard someone in my family, a regular and appreciative BART rider, gush about the new Caltrains.
The new trains are pretty cool.

Part of my family comes from poverty and for a while there, they had so few clothes that laundry day meant “stay in bed for a few hours, you got no clothes”.
And yet, the kids had dolls. Not a lot, not the fanciest, but the importance of joy and of kindness was understood. There were birthday parties. There were siblings helping each other with homework in a new language.

I like that. Save the true punch, in whichever form, for the fash.
Now that you mention it, I converted one of my overseas relatives to kale when she visited. Crispy kale fried in the pan with olive oil and sprinkled with salt and pepper.
I never I thought I was that typical, but I did also serve it with eggs, avocado and hot sauce and that is normcore.
I think that election result shows that we got ourselves some non-intersectional feminists. White women who voted for Trump but wanted their rights, and only their rights, protected, so they voted for the pro-choice measures.
If I’m trying to imagine them, I think I picture Boebert and Greene, divorced but shilling for the traditional family. JK Rowling.
My demographic. More than half of them are this.
I am thinking now is a good time for checking that mutual aid hashtag.
I’m also hoping to crowdsource information on businesses to avoid/ and others to frequent for ethical reasons. (Republican donors are on my avoid list)
A good/ bad list, if you will.
That might be handy in the future for further action. I notice that we all know businesses that are small and that we want to support, but we don’t necessarily tell each other about it and then everyone duplicates their research
I guess I could do it still, but going to geocities to find final fantasy art on a dedicated fan page was nice.
It seemed more hand-made, more for us.
Or finding a website that someone hosted on their own, not affiliated with any platform, and then sharing that with friends. Seemed like whoever made the website had their piece of internet real estate and owned it.
On that note, I think he still exists, but wasn’t there a guy who did flash art, and it was great?
