Err. I think Evan was looking for other revenue streams to keep the identi.ca service going for enthusiastic and loyal users (like me and you). He was undoubtedly subsiding the costs of providing that service for a long time (probably out of his own pocket).
Not harbouring dreams of becoming a 'billionaire'.
@basil @fairlygood @kev He's 100% right. Everyone else including the expensive lawyers are complete conspiring idiots. He's clearly not going to let this go until everyone bends to his will.
His forensic dissection of that article, including objecting to a photo with his eyes closed was bizzare and, frankly, a little worrying.
@jwildeboer pods looks cool and appears to be a native Gnome application. Unlike podman-desktop, it doesn't use the bloatware known as Electron.
One of my favourite things about FOSS is choice. You don't like A. Fair enough. Feel free to choose to try B or C. Or even choose to write D.
Inspired by @jwildeboer I am re-visiting #podman I'm a casual user (idiot) so really need a management GUI
I didn't really warm to podman-desktop but pleased to see I can use Portainer (although it needs some root privs). Will look at 'pods' too.
