@julian I found the category notifications plugin earlier today and I think it's going to be quite useful for our users so I'm glad that it exists!

Thanks for the suggestions @rod and @pichalite. I'll look into forking the slack plugin and if all else fails, check out an external service, as suggested.

I am wondering if there is a plugin or other workaround (in the core software or through another service) to email every new topic to a set email address. It could optionally be limited to a category, but capturing everything is more important to me right now.

The email address is not from a registered user so I do not think a newsletter/digest or topic will work.

Unfortunately, RSS feeds are not available for me to use to solve this.

Using 0.9.0 with Paper skin.

When applying this skin, the overflow menu moves to left side of screen, and when used, most of the dropdown menu is offscreen. Do you need to use CustomCSS to fix this and move this menu back to the right side?

I noticed this does not happen in this forum when I switch skins, so there is a 'fix' I don't know about that I should apply to my site.

When uploading a PNG file (64x64) (10.7KB) to the Favicon property (settings/general#favicon), I receive the following error message:

Invalid image type. Allowed types are: image/x-icon, image/vnd.microsoft.icon

EDIT: I guess it wants an .ico file but the help text says "You may only upload PNG, JPG, or BMP files ()"

The ability to mark a specific answer as a question seems to be on @psychobunny's list of "To Do's" for this plugin.

I think this would be a great addition as well!

(can't mark this as Solved ... does a moderator need to do this or are there just issues with Q&A plugin?)

UPDATE

While troubleshooting an issue with the email plugin, we added our site domain in ACP settings > advanced > domain-settings.

Removing these two domains back to their defaults (blank) immediately solved the invalid csrf token issues.

I have a fresh install of NodeBB v0.8.1 on Ubuntu (Microsoft Azure VM). Installation and config went smoothly as well as registering a few initial users, etc.

A few hours later new users as well as myself are consistently getting a Forbidden error when trying to login or register a new account.

./nodebb log simply says invalid csrf token for the /register and /login routes.

There have been a few other posts on here spanning the last several months regarding invalid csrf tokens. Some hint at solutions involving DNS propogation or resetting the themes.

Current theme: Persona v2.1.25
