Having same issue as well.
MongoDB version: 3.0.2

NodeBB automatically resizes the logo image to fit it's area. But still, I think it shouldn't be bigger than 400px (height) and 200px (width) for a smooth load.

Delete default and nodebb.conf nginx configs, create a new file in sites-available called as anything then paste the config I gave above, then, sudo ln -s /etc/nginx/sites-available/yourconfigname /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/
sudo service nginx restart

I think you have to create a CNAME for forums subdomain.

I had this issue previously. Just add /forum to proxy_pass value while location is set to /forum as well.
