fascinating, WebKit 1 (in process) gets a Speedometer score of 14, while WebKit 2 (multi process) gets about 35.@ariadne oh I think you are right... so in that case, it probably is mutex contention and such

We have hit the part of the day where I try to flash Mac OS X Leopard onto a cheap USB 2.0 flash drive from Amazon (brand name "SamData") and try to boot my PowerBook G4 with it.@ariadne I cannot acquire ANY non plus dual layer DVDs in order to burn it

We have hit the part of the day where I try to flash Mac OS X Leopard onto a cheap USB 2.0 flash drive from Amazon (brand name "SamData") and try to boot my PowerBook G4 with it.This PowerBook G4 has a 128GB disk. I guess I could just partition it and use target disk mode to boot to Leopard installer.

We have hit the part of the day where I try to flash Mac OS X Leopard onto a cheap USB 2.0 flash drive from Amazon (brand name "SamData") and try to boot my PowerBook G4 with it.If you are wondering why I am using a cheap random one from Amazon, it's because it's been known that random drives don't work, and none of my collection worked. This is my last shot before I give up lol

We have hit the part of the day where I try to flash Mac OS X Leopard onto a cheap USB 2.0 flash drive from Amazon (brand name "SamData") and try to boot my PowerBook G4 with it.This flash drive has a suspiciously perfect storage size. It's an 8GB flash drive, exactly.

Something that makes me annoyed about computing is that two systems can’t just talk to each other without prior coordination anymore.@risottobias i am watching an old video about NEXTstep, and the model for cross application communication is generic enough that two apps can work together without prior work. My observation is that today, the web basically doesn’t have this, web hooks exist, etc, but that still requires coordination of payloads.

Something that makes me annoyed about computing is that two systems can’t just talk to each other without prior coordination anymore.@risottobias any third party service to any other third party service is almost certainly unable to talk to each other without prior coordination.
