@inthehands Oh. And, I bet there's a related song being written this very second. He really should have taken a look at who he was going up against first.

Just to state the obvious (and sorry for even mentioning the guy, I try to keep it to a minimum, but):@inthehands I am interested in seeing if Swift has a response that demonstrates just how much power she has. She has a history of not letting shit like that go by. I can see her filing for $1 in damages (plus legal costs) again, and she has sufficient economic resources to see it through anything that jerk wants to throw at her too.

Consensus on the Momentous CCN Interview on my TL seems to be:@inthehands It is ridiculously simple: report like that, have your access withdrawn by TFP; your editor sends someone else; your career is sidelined. The editor can't stand up and say f*** him, we'll send nobody because management will replace the editor and their career is sidelined.
The far right complains about "mainstream" journalism being broken... they're right, but it's not broken in the way they think it is.
In the old days, locking a journalist out like that would trigger a boycott.

Consensus on the Momentous CCN Interview on my TL seems to be:@inthehands We saw what happens when someone tries, at the National Association of Black Journalists conference: he rambles about something else, attacks the journalist, feigns offence, etc. etc. The problem is that reporting is then "TFP says controversial things!" instead of "Combative TFP fails to articulate a single policy, seems incapable of a coherent thought beyond simplistic talking points."
